Kaeto makes Partisan Records debut with new single, "propane"

"propane" follows Kaeto's 2024 debut INTRO, as well as her single "words" released last year, and a remix of INTRO opener "U R MINE" by Porches. The new track is the first preview of a broader body of work to come, merging trip-hop, dance, electronic, punk, and alt-pop as she reveals her experiences of navigating relationships as an autistic person. “I made this song a while ago but couldn’t finish it when I initially wrote the melody," Kaeto explains. "Then I got dumped and thought ooh maybe this could be about how I seem to unintentionally set fire to everything good in my life lol. I called the song ‘propane’ because it's a gas that has many uses and I see myself like fire having this dual capacity for loving and ruining! I feel like I have a spirit that can heat a home and be so constructive/necessary, but I can also be very flammable and I feel like I can suffocate people."
