‘KPop Demon Hunters’ star Ejae says Leonardo DiCaprio was reason for vocal mistakes at BAFTAs: “He made me so nervous”

KPop Demon Hunters star Ejae has recalled how Leonardo DiCaprio caused her to make errors during a performance at the BAFTAs. The star provides the singing voice of Rumi in the Netflix global phenomenon, and performed alongside Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami at the awards in February. Despite the prestigious event, the artist remembers a particular incident that threw her off her game. “The BAFTAs haunt me,” she told The Times. “I made mistakes. I cracked a little bit on the high notes. Leonardo DiCaprio was [in the audience] right in front of me and he was not smiling.” She pointed to a high note she had to perform during the song ‘Born To Be’ as the moment the Oscar winner affected her. “That’s what put me off,” she recalled. “He made me so nervous.
