Jennifer Finch, longtime bassist of the great veteran grunge-punk band L7, passed away in July at the age of 59, just a few days after she revealed her brain cancer diagnosis. Just a couple of months before Finch's death, L7 announced plans for their final tour. At Finch's request, the band is going ahead with that tour, which starts on Tuesday in San Diego. Today, L7 have shared a new song in advance of that tour kickoff.Jennifer Finch originally left L7 in 1996, and the band kept going with a couple of other bassists before breaking up. One of them was Janis Tanaka, a former member of bands like Courtney Love and Kat Bjelland's short-lived '80s group Pagan Babies. Tanaka was in L7 for a couple of years before serving a long tenure as a member of Pink's touring band. She was in L7 in 2003, when they wrote and recorded the demo for "Loma Linda," their hooky and anthemic new single.
