Lankum vocalist Radie Peat has announced her debut solo album ‘No Human Tongue Can Tell’ and released a haunting new single ‘The Moon and Stars’. Listen below. Now, she’s revealed that the track will be on her debut solo album, which is due to be released on November 13 via Rough Trade Records. You can pre-save/pre-order it here. The announcement comes alongside a new single, ‘The Moon and Stars’, which sees her rewrite parts of traditional folk lyrics to channel anger. “There are coded references to unwanted pregnancies and abortions within the song”, Peat explained in a press release. “As well as references to rue, a herb which was used to cause miscarriage, I wanted to represent these experiences from the woman’s perspective – to connect us with her experience”.
