The announcement comes just as Laufey wrapped up her 70-date A Matter of Time global arena tour last Saturday. Laufey has released her previous albums under AWAL, including 2023’s Bewitched and 2025’s A Matter of Time, and she is currently working on new music to be expected on her new label home.
Alongside the music, it's been a successful, busy year for Laufey. She published her very first children's book, Mei Mei The Bunny, received The Order of the Falcon from Iceland's President, and hosted the fourth annual “A Very Laufey Day", which involved curated events in seventy-five cities across more than twenty-five countries. These events ranged from live performances (including symphony orchestras, ballet, jazz, opera, theater and a limited-edition concert series presented in 10 cities around the globe by Candlelight®), to events in museums, libraries, bookstores, cafes/coffee shops, yogurt/ice cream shops and more, with all proceeds going towards The Laufey Foundation.
