Lewis Capaldi teases new album at Sziget Festival 2026

In partnership with Sziget Festival Lewis Capaldi has shared an update on his plans for a third album. The Scottish singer was appearing on the main stage at Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary yesterday (August 13), where he performed immediately before headliners Florence + the Machine. He noted that this was his third appearance at the festival – following shows in 2018 and 2022 – and expressed his pleasure at maintaining a “lovely relationship” with Sziget. “All summer I’ve been saying, ‘When are we going to play Sziget?’” he explained. “And here we are!” At the end of the set, Capaldi teased the follow-up to his previous two albums, 2019’s ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’ and 2023’s ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’. “Thank you for continuously showing up and watching us when we come to this festival – it really means the world,” he said. “I’m gonna go away after… We’ve got six more gigs this summer, and then I’m gonna go away and make a new album for everybody – if everybody’s interested?” When this was received with a cheer, he continued: “I promise I’ll be back as soon as I possibly fucking can be.” Elsewhere in the performance, which drew a huge audience, he...
