Lime Garden Cover New Order’s “Age Of Consent”

Next month, the buzzy young Brighton band Lime Garden will release Maybe Not Tonight, an album that apparently tells the story of a single night out. We've already posted a whole bunch of early singles from the LP: the title track, "23," "All The Bad Parts," "Downtown Lover." Now, Lime Garden have shared a cover of New Order's 1983 classic "Age Of Consent" that they recorded live in studio at Abbey Road.

New Order were a big influence on Maybe Not Tonight, and they've recently been playing "Age Of Consent" live. In a press release, frontwoman Chloe Howard says that their Abbey Road experience was "definitely a bucket list moment, the stuff we joked about since starting the band." Their take on "Age Of Consent," is pretty faithful, and it's always interesting to hear someone cover that band without using synths.

Below, check out Lime Garden's Abbey Road session, which also includes a rendition of their recently single "Downtown Lover," and New Order's OG "Age Of Consent" video.

Maybe Not Tonight is 4/10 on So Young.
