Listen to ‘The Cat in the Hat’ Front Row with Bill Hader and Quinta Brunson

The cast of The Cat in the Hat are bringing the laughs.

Bill Hader, Quinta Brunson, Xochitl Gomez, and Giancarlo Esposito appeared in an exclusive SiriusXM Cast Event on Radio Andy and talked their upcoming film with the Smith Sisters.

“You grew up with it, it was such a iconic thing,” he shared with Lauren, Rachel and Mariah. “But it was great.”

“I never saw that happening,” he said of playing the Cat in the Hat outside of SNL, before adding that his previous Cat in the Hat would have some thoughts about his latest iteration of the character.

“Now he’d be like, ‘Man you need to go to the gym,'” he joked. “‘Come on man, no more muffins in the morning.'”

For the cast, seeing the movie in completion years after working on the film, was a moving experience.

“Very emotional response,” the Quinta said. “But seeing it at the premiere, in it’s finished form, it got a tear-jerked out of me.”

The Cat in the Hat is in theaters November 6.
