The title track and album opener "Against The World" is described by the pair as a "manic manifesto drawing a line in the sand where love is the only resistance against the forces manufacturing distance and dissent between us. It's a rallying cry pushing for something better, a staunch refusal of the status quo fuelled by the strong belief that we all deserve better." The album was produced and mixed by Jack Tatum — also known as Wild Nothing — who broke down and reconstructed sound fragments with the twins, merging heavy guitars and white noise with chopped vocal samples, as well as drum & bass and house beats. Conceptually, Against The World touches on with a deep sense of longing for something else, as the band explain: "Increasingly divorced from the world around us, the false promises of a new lover, a new leader, or a new saviour become impossible to resist. The fantasy leads us further and further underground, leaving miles of rubble in its wake." Against The World artwork Against The World track...
