Manchester quartet Wyatt release debut single "Morning" on Heist or Hit

Formed by guitarist and vocalist Harvey O’Toole, bassist and vocalist Evan O’Toole, trumpeter, guitarist and vocalist Emily Mason, and drummer Joe Ward, Wyatt have moved through Manchester's music scene, also touring alongside Greg Freeman and TTSSFU. On their debut single, the band bring together jangle and slacker rock for a nostalgic introduction to their sound. Discussing the single, the band explain: “Morning came together really quickly. The initial idea came after we'd played a gig where the guitar amp broke, and then we stayed in a weird bnb in bunk beds. The next week we took it to rehearsal and by the end of the rehearsal it was basically the version of it that it is now. Getting the song together that quick made me think we had just got really good at being Wyatt after playing loads over a short time. It isn't trying to be too clever or wild, it's just a song we like to play. You can't go wrong with oohs in a chorus either, so it was satisfying to put them in. Morning is a song that feels like Wyatt to us.”
