Mastodon have added Baroness frontman John Baizley as a member of their touring lineup for their upcoming North American outing, which launches this Wednesday, September 16th. The move comes after Baizley joined Mastodon onstage at a secret warmup club show at The Earl in the band’s hometown of Atlanta this past Friday night. Baizley performed with Mastodon for the last six songs of the band’s 14-song set at the intimate venue, playing on tunes like “Curl of the Burl,” “Sultan’s Curse,” “Colony of Birchmen,” and “Blood and Thunder,” among others.
