Max Fry announces new album, better luck next time

"pretend" follows "i don't feel anymore" released in June and "sinner" released in July, which feature emo-tinged songwriting inspired by shoegaze, post-punk and emo rap, pulling from Fry's experiences growing up in Orlando and engaging in the local underground scene at underground hardcore and house shows.

Fry released his debut EP, so close to ok, in 2023, featuring breakout hit "zombie". He dropped his debut album more than dead to me a year later, while recent months have seen him collaborate with Maggie Lindemann on "it's still you", land a soundtrack placement on EA's classic game, Skate, and open for ThxSoMch and EKKSTACY.
