Meet the cast of Netflix’s ‘Zombieverse 2: New Blood’

Netflix’s South Korean reality game show Zombieverse is set to return later this month with its second season, Zombieverse 2: New Blood – here’s everything you need to know about its cast.

Zombieverse follows a cast of celebrities and notable figures as a group of “survivors” in a zombie-infested world, where they are hunted by “real-life zombies”, played by scare actors. The upcoming season, set to premiere on November 19, will not only include a series of survival challenges, but also special missions to create a cure to the zombie virus.

In order to get through the ordeal, its cast – which includes K-pop idols, actors, chefs and more – must team up and use their skills and knowledge to pass each challenge. The new season of Zombieverse sees the return of its season one cast, as well as several new survivors.

Here’s the cast of Zombieverse 2: New Blood:

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon

Joining the series for the first time this season is veteran K-pop singer Taeyeon, who is known as the leader of second-generation girl group Girls’ Generation and a soloist. The singer also previously hosted idol audition programmes like Queendom 2 and Queendom Puzzle, and is a regular cast member on variety TV show Amazing Saturday.

Kwon Eun-bi

Solo K-pop singer and former IZ*ONE member Kwon Eun-bi will also appear on the new Zombieverse season. The singer has appeared on variety and and idol competition shows like Alumni Lovers and Starlight Boys.

Code Kunst

New cast member Code Kunst is a South Korean music producer and composer best known for being a judge and producer on the rap TV competition series Show Me The Money. He is also a regular cast member on the reality show I Live Alone and the host of dating reality show My Sibling’s Romance.

Defconn

Also joining this season is rapper and television personality Defconn, who is best known for hosting the MBC’s variety show Weekly Idol from 2011 to 2018. He was also a founding member of I Live Alone, but left the show’s cast in 2014.

Jo Se-ho

Jo Se-ho is a South Korean comedian who has appeared in several popular variety and reality programmes. They include Law of the Jungle, You Quiz on the Block and Infinite Challenge.

Kim Seon-tae

Kim Seon-tae is a civil servant and YouTuber known as “Chungju” man. As a part of the Chungju City Hall Public Relations Office Team, Kim shares snippets of his office and daily life on his YouTube channel, and has also appeared on TV shows like SNL Korea and You Quiz on the Block.

Yook Sung-jae

BtoB singer and actor Yook Sung-jae is also joining the cast of Zombieverse this season. He has led K-dramas like The Golden Spoon and Mystic Pop-up Bar, and is particularly well-known for appearing on We Got Married with Red Velvet’s Joy.

Andre Rush

Also joining this season is American celebrity chef and army veteran Andre Rush. Known for his muscular physique and culinary skills, Rush previously worked as a chef at the White House, and appeared on Netflix’s South Korean cooking challenge show Culinary Class Wars earlier this year.

Ro Hong-chul

The villain of season one, entertainer and entrepreneur Ro Hong-chul is set to return to Zombieverse. He previously appeared on reality shows like I Live Alone and Infinite Challenge.

Lee Si-young

Also returning this season is actress Lee Si-young, who is known for her role in Netflix’s apocalyptic K-drama Sweet Home. Lee was previously an amateur boxer, and is well-known for her athleticism and physique.

DinDin

Rapper, actor and television personality DinDin will also be returning this season. He first rose to prominence as a contestant on Show Me The Money 2, and later became a permanent cast member on the variety show 2 Days & 1 Night.

Dex

Another season one cast member, Dex is a former South Korean Navy UDT/SEAL who previously participated in dating reality show Single’s Inferno. He also hosts his own YouTube series, Dex’s Fridge Interview, and has appeared in reality shows like My Name is Gabriel.

Billlie’s Tsuki

Tsuki is best known as a member of girl group Billlie, and rose to prominence after a fancam of her performing their song ‘GingaMingaYo (the strange world)’ went viral in 2022. The Japanese K-pop singer previously acted as the MC on Show Champion, and appeared on the reality show Cafe Clinic after starring in season one of Zombieverse.

Patricia Yiombi

The last season one cast member to return is Patricia Yiombi, a Congolese TV personality and YouTuber based in South Korea. She is a main panellist on My Sibling’s Romance, and has appeared on variety shows like HyeMiLeeYeChaePa, You Quiz on the Block and Omniscient Interfering View.
