Metallica’s Lars Ulrich Sells Adjoining Mansions for $68 Million

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has sold his adjoining mansions in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights neighborhood for a combined $68 million, making it the second biggest private home real estate sale in the city’s history. Additionally, the metal legend recently sold a separate 161-acre plot of land in Marin for $16 million, giving him a grand total of $82 million in real estate sales over the past few weeks. Get Metallica Tickets Here While the buyer of the adjoining mansions has not been disclosed yet, the separate plot of land was purchased by the Marin Open Space Trust, which will turn it into a public space. According to The San Francisco Standard, Ulrich bought the adjoining mansions from his friend Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce CEO, in two separate transactions roughly 10 years ago. They were purchased for a total of $36 million at the time, meaning the Metallica stickman is nearly doubling the money he spent on the homes.
