Coming off the recent release of his debut solo album, Thank You, Beastie Boys member Mike D stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, September 8th. In addition to an interview, he performed a medley of “Make It Stop” and “That’s Right.” The 60-year-old recent Consequence cover star took the stage with Mike D 5D — a band featuring his sons Skyler and Davis Diamond — for a spirited performance that saw him bouncing around the stage while delivering the heavily distorted alternative hip-hop songs. The mood turned lighthearted when Fallon broke out an amusing photo of the rapper from his early days, wearing a green jacket unbuttoned down to his navel and a white Kangol-esque hat. As it turns out, he “borrowed” the 1970s-era outfit from the Hollywood house the Beasties were renting at the time to wear to Dolly Parton’s birthday party.
