The original costume worn by Mike Myers in The Cat In The Hat has gone viral after going up for auction. The Austin Powers star played the character in the critically maligned 2003 live-action adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic children’s book, alongside Dakota Fanning and Spencer Breslin as the two child leads, as well as Alec Baldwin and Kelly Preston. Now, Myers’ original costume is being put up for auction by the memorabilia company Propstore, and the images shared for the lot have been spreading online, with the red and white striped hat and oversized bow tie taking on a horrific, haunted energy without a person inside them.
