N.O.R.E. Denies Carmen Bryan’s Sexual Assault Allegations, Calls Lawsuit “Legally Groundless”

Source: Derek White / GettyN.O.R.E. is forcefully denying sexual assault allegations made by Carmen Bryan in a newly filed civil lawsuit, with his attorney calling the claims “entirely false” and promising to fight them in court. As per Complex, Bryan filed a 20-page complaint against the Queens rapper, born Victor Santiago, on Sept. 9. According to the lawsuit, Bryan alleges that N.O.R.E. sexually assaulted her during an encounter at a crowded Manhattan nightclub in May 1999 while he was promoting his sophomore album, Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler. She claims Santiago approached her while intoxicated and committed an act of nonconsensual penetration with his fingers despite her repeatedly telling him to stop. Bryan alleges that other people at the club eventually intervened.N.O.R.E. has denied Bryan’s account. In a statement shared to his Instagram Stories, attorney Leonard F. Lesser called the allegations “entirely false” and said his client intends to vigorously defend himself. Lesser also described the case as a “legally groundless lawsuit” and said N.O.R.E.’s legal team looks forward to clearing his name in court.
