Neil Young announces new album with the Chrome Hearts, shares soothing title track ‘Second Song’

Neil Young has announced details of his new album with The Chrome Hearts, ‘Second Song’ and shared the title track – check it out below. The follow up to 2025’s ‘Talkin To The Trees‘, features seven tracks five of which are previously unreleased along with two unreleased versions of ‘Casting Me Away From You’ and ‘I’ll Love You Forever’. It is set to land on September 18 via Reprise Records and can be pre-ordered here. Young has also shared the soothing lengthy title track to his new album, which you can listen to below. On it, Young sings of the life he’s experienced, with lines such as, “I dream a way of living / A way of sharing what we find / A way of walking slowly through the smokey leaves of time.” He’d previously revealed that he was channelling anger at the Trump administration into the new album. “Politics today is sad and depressing for me. I can’t do it anymore. I can go out and demonstrate my feelings about it. We have the worst president in the history of our country. Every day a bad TV show produced by DJT is what we get,” he wrote at the time.
