Netflix and JTBC have released a new trailer for its upcoming period K-drama The Tale of Lady Ok.
Led by The Glory’s Lim Ji-yeon, The Tale of Lady Ok is an upcoming legal K-drama set in the Joseon period. It follows the titular Lady Ok, a smart and popular attorney who uses a fake identity to hide her past as a slave. One day, she meets Cheon Seung-hwi (Choo Young-woo), a travelling storyteller who falls for her at first sight.
The new trailer, released on November 28, opens with Goo Deok’s escape from slavery as guards search for her. She faints while evading her captors, and wakes up in the house of a wealthy woman, who mistakes her for her daughter, Ok Tae-yeong.
She later becomes a successful attorney, and develops a romance with Cheon Seung-hwi. However, she soon distances herself from him to maintain her false identity. Soon, she takes on a challenging new case.
Also starring in The Tale of Lady Ok is former MOMOLAND singer Yeonwoo, who will play Tae-yeong’s eager apprentice Cha Mi-ryeong. Meanwhile, Our Blues’ Kim Jae-won will star as Sung Do-gyeom, Tae-yeong’s brother-in-law who is beloved by his village.
