O.R.K. Has A Message For Everyone Who Doesn't Pick Up Their Phone On New Single "PUTFP"

1 week ago 11

O.R.k. – the quartet featuring Colin Edwin, Pat Mastelotto, Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari, and Carmelo Pipitone – is now streaming their perfectly proggy, heartily hefty new single "PUTFP". The single comes alongside a video by Fornasari and follows O.R.k.'s previous single "Blast Of Silence", which you can stream below.

"Why the acronym?" wrote O.R.k. of the single. "It's not a rare concession to the easily offended, but it instead highlights a feeling most, if not all of us, who have ever used any kind of telephone will relate to. Sometimes expressed as a desperate plea, at other times in response to a mere inconvenience, who hasn't muttered this very same phrase under their breath or out loud at some point in life?"

Better yet, "PUTFP" also features a special guest appearance from live O.R.k. drummer Alessandro Vagnoni, who's been filling in for Mastelotto as his busy schedule keeps him away from the band. "Alessandro has quite literally helped us keep the energy up, so we chose to document his contribution by offering him a new song on which to play and we are of course very pleased he accepted the offer," said O.R.k. of the guest spot.

Speaking of live O.R.k., make sure you catch the band at one of their 2025 live dates with The Paradox Twin.
