Papa Roach will no longer be playing their slot at Louder Than Life festival after bassist Tobin Esperance suffered a health “emergency”. More than 200 bands are set to perform across the four-day fest in Louisville, which kicked off on Thursday (September 17) and wraps tomorrow. Papa Roach were slated to perform tonight (September 19), but have taken to social media to announce their withdrawal. “After careful consideration and advice from medical professionals, Papa Roach bassist Tobin Esperance will be unable to perform this weekend due to an unexpected emergency,” they told fans. “Therefore, we will not be able to perform at this year’s Louder Than Life festival, and wish everyone the best. Right now, Tobin’s health is our immediate concern. We look forward to welcoming him back on stage in November and appreciate the continued support and respect for his privacy during this time.” As mentioned in their statement, the cancelled set would have marked the band’s final US date before they kick off their European tour on November 1.
