Perez Hilton will “require surgery” after livestreaming footage of himself self-harming, his family have said. The celebrity blogger was hospitalised earlier this week after appearing to harm himself in a video livestreamed online. The Miami-Dade sheriff’s office attended his home on Tuesday (August 4) after they received reports of a man “livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media.” Now, Hilton’s family have released a statement updating fans on his health. “Perez’s condition remains serious but stable,” they wrote yesterday (August 8) on Hilton’s website. “He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days. His treatment and recovery will be a long process.
