I've never seen an episode of the show, but this blog post evidently deals in some major-spoiler plot twists that have implications much deeper than what you already read in the headline. During that moment, Peter Gabriel himself made a surprise appearance, singing "Here Comes The Flood," his 1986 song about an apocalyptic catastrophe.
