POPPY's Two New Songs Are Certified Bangers

1 month ago 9

Poppy continues to walk the line between radio-friendly pop music and heavier ass-beaters with two new songs "the cost of giving up" and "crystallized".

Surely there will be a sizable crowd crying "THIS ISN'T METAL", but it is – or at least "the cost of giving up" is. And it's good, and it'll likely pave the way for Poppy to climb high on every festival lineup as the years go on. It ain't metal circa 1986, but it is metal and it's catchy as hell.

Poppy will release her new record Negative Spaces out November 15. Negative Spaces was produced by Poppy and former Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist Jordan Fish, who also contributed songwriting to the record. Pre-orders are available here.

In addition to the new album, Poppy also recently announced her brand new video series Improbably Poppy on the streaming platform Veeps. As Poppy explains it, it's a show where "we'll learn, listen, live, laugh, love and probably, a few of us will die."

Each Improbably Poppy episode will feature Poppy performing a new song, with a full EP coming of the new tracks in the near future. Check it out here.
