Pusha T is going to start pushing c(offee) soon.
The rapper has announced Grindin, his new coffee brand. Named after the beloved Clipse song produced by The Neptunes, Grindin will be sold at Los Angeles’Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival and Cafe Tropical this weekend. According to a press release, Push’s product is a “strong black coffee reflecting the artist’s taste.”
For those that will be in LA, if you stop at Cafe Tropical for a cup of brew, you can also
purchase exclusive merchmade by Carhartt WIP.
Push has also promoted the coffee on his Instagram account, writing in one post: “All my dreams and ideas start from my passions. Luckily, I have been able to find partnerships and platforms to help bring my visions to life. This is just a piece of me and how I start my day.”
The Virginia Beach artist now joins the likes of Ghostface Killah, Jadakiss and others who’ve started their own coffee brands.
Push continues to expand his resume this year. Back in July, it was announced that Louis Vuitton, whose men’s creative director is Pharrell, had named him an ambassador.
“[Pusha T’s] ambassadorial nomination at Louis Vuitton is a testament to his commitment to artistry and a strong personal style, both echoing the Maison's own dedication to unique expression across fashion and culture,” the fashion brand said in a press release at the time.
Push also has a new Clipse album on the way with his brother, No Malice. Titled Let God Sort Em Out, the project is entirely produced by Pharrell and features guest appearances from Nas, John Legend and Stove Good Cooks.
