Ray LaMontagne has been treated after collapsing on stage in Nashville. The folk singer-songwriter was performing at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Saturday night (September 5) when he collapsed on stage, bringing the show to an early finish. The incident occurred midway through a performance of his song ‘Jolene’. Fan-shot footage shows him falling backwards before hitting the ground. Members of his team then rushed to assist him, he was then helped from the stage, and the concert ended early. Earlier in the set, LaMontagne stopped twice during a rendition of ‘Hannah’, after losing his place. He then apologised to the crowd before moving on. Later on, he briefly left the stage before returning to begin ‘Jolene’. LaMontagne’s management have said that he is being treated for heat-related dehydration and is “doing well now”.
