Reclus.É announce debut album The World Can’t Take Much More

The duo recorded the LP at Middle Farm Studios and The Black Lodge, producing alongside Peter Miles, who has worked with Dodie, Architects, and Sylosis. It follows their debut single “A Muted TV” from earlier this summer. Carter said the record “is a document of each letting go of the reins to allow them to find something neither would have made alone.” He added that the record was made “in an era of great social turmoil” and functions as a comment on current conditions. Bryce said the new single draws the pressure she encountered from Christian communities. “'Belly of the Whale' was heavily inspired by my relationship to religion,” she said. “Overall, the song is to encourage the ability to question things that don’t sit right within your values and morality, and that to believe in something requires a thorough investigation of what it is you are supporting.” Check it out below.
