It's been two years since avant-pop musician Remi Wolf released her sophomore album Soup. Even though we haven't heard any new music from Wolf since, we know she's been busy: She collaborated with Thundercat last fall on the track "Children Of The Baked Potato" and, more recently, reunited with pal Hayley Williams at Bonnaroo last month and then Newport Folk Festival last weekend. At the latter, she performed a new song "Twiggy," which is officially out today.For the track, she reunited with frequent collaborators Solomonophonic, Paul Cherry, Jamie McLaughlin, and Jack DeMeo. There are hints of the glitchy pop that Wolf has perfected over the last few years, but it leans more country than anything we've heard from her before.After years of constant touring, Wolf decided to slow down. That's when "Twiggy" came together. A press release explains that a writing retreat in Big Bear helped her lean into being, in her words, "emo as fuck."
