Rod Stewart has cancelled his upcoming tour stops after undergoing a routine coronary stent procedure. On Sunday (August 9), the 81-year-old artist had been scheduled to perform at Ohio’s Riverbend Music Center as part of his current ‘One Last Time’ North American tour, but cancelled that gig at the last minute due to an “unforeseen but minor medical procedure”. He later cancelled all upcoming show dates after successfully undergoing a routine coronary stent procedure. In a statement shared with Rolling Stone, Stewart’s representatives said that the singer was doing well and had already returned to his daily activities. “On the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate and regain full fitness before returning to the stage,” they said. “Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.” In his own message shared with fans on Tuesday (August 11), he assured them that he was “already feeling better and very much on the mend”.
