‘Rust’ game soundtrack is coming to vinyl for the first time

The soundtrack to survival game Rust is being released on vinyl for the very first time. Everything wants you to die – the island’s wildlife, other inhabitants, the environment, and other survivors. Do whatever it takes to last another night,” reads an official description of the game. Players have to manage their hunger, thirst and health, make use of gathered or stolen materials and avoid threats from wild animals, NPCs and rival players. Alex Rehberg’s soundtrack for Rust was digitally released in 2022 and today (August 6) Laced Records have confirmed a vinyl release. The 3LP set features 29 specially remastered tracks and sleeve artwork created in collaboration with Facepunch Studio designer Lewis Ainslie. Fans can pick up standard black vinyl, or a special Laced Record Exclusive Edition that features grey and black splatter-effect discs influenced by the game’s industrial landscape.
