Scott Ian Says Anthrax Will Return to Brazil in 2027; Suggests Cursum Perficio Could Be Band’s Final Album

Anthrax will return to Brazil in 2027 as part of the touring cycle behind their upcoming album, Cursum Perficio, according to guitarist Scott Ian. “Not this year, but definitely next year,” Ian told Rolling Stone Brasil. “The album comes out in September, but the real tour will start in January. We’ll start early next year, and I’m sure we’ll be in Brazil in 2027.” Find Anthrax Tickets Here While Ian stressed that Anthrax have no plans to retire, he acknowledged that Cursum Perficio, their first album in a decade, could conceivably be their last full-length. “I don’t know if we’ll make another album,” he said. “We’re going to release this album and then tour for two years. And then we’ll all be 65 and we’ll see how we feel. We might also just release individual songs.
