Social Distortion have unveiled “Partners in Crime” as the second single from their long-awaited new album, Born to Kill, arriving May 8th.
“‘Partners in Crime’ is about finding your voice, especially if you weren’t allowed or if it didn’t matter,” stated Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness. “And finding comfort in others who share the same sentiment, angst and rage. Strength in unity.”

The single is immediately recognizable as a Social D track, with Ness’ trademark nasal snarl singing over a crunchy guitar tone. It follows the album’s title track, which was released in February.
Born to Kill marks Social Distortion’s first album in 15 years, with the last one being 2011’s Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes. It’s also the first LP since Ness overcame a battle with tonsil cancer after being diagnosed with the disease in 2023.
In support of the album, Social D will embark on a late summer / early fall North American tour with fellow California punk legends Descendents. Pick up tickets here.
