Sega has confirmed a new partnership with Netflix, with a trio of adaptations heading to the streamer in the near future. The “hilariously crazy” film will be written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, the duo responsible for the 2025 reboot of The Naked Gun, who “will bring the game’s chaotic, comedic spirit to the adaptation.” A reboot of Crazy Taxi is set to launch next year. Netflix are also working on an animated Sonic the Hedgehog series and a movie adaptation of Stranger Than Heaven, the upcoming Like A Dragon spin-off that stars Snoop Dogg and the likeness of Tupac Shakur. According to a press release, the Sonic series “will present Sonic and his friends as heroes for an upper pre-school audience – a high-voltage, comedic, yet emotionally grounded series built for kids who want to feel a little edge, a little attitude, and a lot of ‘that’s my crew’ wish fulfilment,” while the “badass action drama” Stranger Than Heaven film will “bring a new lens to the epic world...
