Sons of Anarchy Cast Reunites for Very Meta FX Limited Series Starring/Created by Charlie Hunnam

The Sons of Anarchy cast is reuniting for a new FX/Hulu limited series — but it’s not a revival. Instead, the “meta-thriller” Legends, created by, written by, and starring original series star Charlie Hunnam, offers up what sounds like a pretty wild take on the original show, created by Kurt Sutter. According to the official description, “When the cast of Sons of Anarchy reunites at a fan convention after more than a decade, the line between life and art blurs as the fractured brotherhood finds itself up against a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they ever faced in their show. “Playing themselves in this real-world adventure, Hunnam will star with Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi with additional cast to be announced.” This kind of meta take does solve the one major problem with bringing back Sons of Anarchy — few of the actors mentioned above played characters who survived the series.
