But don't get your hopes up because it's still not looking good for physical discs. Two months after Sony reported repurposing its last disc-making plant, the company’s disc-making division says a report about how much disc production will be cut is exaggerated. An unnamed Sony DADC spokesperson told Game journalist Brian Crecente that production will be cut by only 10 percent, not 90 percent as once believed. “To clarify and avoid any misleading information: in that statement, Dietmar anticipated an overall product volume decline by 10 percent, not a decline down to 10 percent,” the spokesperson told Crecente.
