Static-X released the trailer for their upcoming documentary Evil Disco: The Rise, Fall, And Regeneration Of Static-X back in March with no specific release date. While the documentary still doesn't have one, Static-X bassist Tony Campos promised in an interview with Rock News Weekly it'll be out sometime in 2025.
"There's some stuff in the works for North America," said Campos. "The only thing that's confirmed right now is Europe in the summer. And then we're hoping to get the documentary done and out by next year. We're still finishing it up… I think it's gonna be cool, man. It's gonna be a really cool look back at the history of the band and the history of Wayne and how he affected all our lives."
Evil Disco: The Rise, Fall, And Regeneration Of Static-X will feature members of the band alongside managers, contemporaries from bands like Hatebreed, Fear Factory, Sevendust, and Mötley Crüe, and friends.
"25 years ago today, Static-X unleashed Wisconsin Death Trip onto the world," wrote Static-X of the documentary upon releasing the trailer in March. "On this very special anniversary – we would like to share a teaser for the first ever official Static-X documentary film – titled Evil Disco: The Rise, Fall, And Regeneration Of Static-X. Thank you all for 25 years of amazing memories… So much more to come!"
