Super Future brings listeners on an eclectic, bass-fueled journey across five tracks on his latest release, Technicolor.

Hailing from Detroit, experimental bass artist Super Future embodies the grit and inventiveness of his musically rich hometown. Over the course of his career, the talent has risen from the underground, captivating fans with a slew of viral flips and unique releases.

Super Future’s forward-thinking approach to production has gained him admiration within his community, landing him slots on the stages of Electric Forest, Lost Lands, and Shambhala Music Festival, among others. From downtempo tunes to party-starting bangers, his creative range and sheer talent are undeniable.

Super Future’s new EP, Technicolor, adds to his diverse catalog as he explores a variety of sounds on one cohesive project. The five-track release on Bassrush Records ushers in a new season for the bass virtuoso. As he looks to elevate himself as an artist, the EP channels Super Future’s heightened emotions into a rousing, 14-minute explosion of sonic ingenuity.

The opening track, “KING SH!T,” is a rhythmic space bass banger that kicks things into high gear for a breakneck journey through technically skilled soundscapes. The momentum continues on the lead single, “Dark Star.” Melding raw hip-hop vocals with ground-shaking bass, this track will do damage during festival season.

Updating a track he created in 2024, “Got Them Weak!” was born out of what Super Future calls an “ADHD flow state.” Infused with energy, the wubby and thumping tune stands out for its multidimensionality. Similarly, “Bounce” stands out for its sub-heavy, resonant bass and two dynamic drops that showcase Super Future’s ability to craft complex soundscapes.

Closing with “Want,” the EP wraps with one last hurrah. Vocal chops and backspin-style effects give the track a UKG influence. The hard-hitting second drop catapults fans to the end of the audio journey.

Music is always so reflective of my emotional state. Even though it’s been a harder season in so many ways, I’m grateful for the music it brought. I was constantly doing too much, I grew and learned a lot, but the music really came through powerfully. I was constantly feeling behind on everything else, but the quality heat that turned into this EP never suffered. I’m super proud of how crisp, overdriven, colorful, and fun this whole ‘Technicolor‘ EP is. Enjoy!
