Swedish House Mafia will host a takeover of the Mainstage at Ultra Music Festival this weekend with a lineup of friends, including AFROJACK, Boys Noize, and more.

Miami Music Week is only one day in so far, but there’s already been plenty of excitement bubbling from the biggest week in dance music. Swedish House Mafia added more to the mix earlier today after Ultra Music Festival posted an emoji on Instagram with their song “Save The World” as the background music, while the trio posted vague screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation that included other artists.

These seemingly random, coordinated posts left fans wondering what might be in store, with many suggesting that the trio could be reuniting at the festival this weekend as a surprise. Those who did were right, as moments ago, Swedish House Mafia announced that they’ll be taking over the Ultra Music Festival Mainstage for an exclusive curated night that pays homage to the trio’s culture and musical identity.

Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso were already slated to perform a rare back-to-back set to close out the festival on Saturday night, but now that set has gotten even sweeter. The teased artists, which included AFROJACK, Armand Van Helden, Boys Noize, Kelly Lee Owens, and MPH, will all take the stage during this takeover. This helps showcase the trio’s past, present, and future, with an emphasis on house, techno, and beyond.

Then, as a cherry on top, Axwell, who wasn’t originally slated to perform at Ultra Music Festival this year, will join his longtime friends to close out the set in true Swedish House Mafia fashion. Expect nothing but a proper celebration during their performance on Saturday night; you won’t want to miss it!

Swedish House Mafia has a longstanding legacy with Ultra Music Festival, which has become home to some of the trio’s most iconic moments. This includes their debut performance in 2010, One Last Tour stops in 2013, their reunion set in 2018, and their headline appearance in 2023, making the upcoming appearance another chapter of their evolving legacy.
