Lucy Davis has thanked fans for the outpouring of support since she revealed she has terminal cancer. On August 11 the actor, best known for TV sitcom The Office and films such as Wonder Woman, shared on Instagram that she has been diagnosed with “incurable” breast cancer, but is determined to live in “as fun a way as I possibly can”. The post prompted thousands of comments and messages of support from fans and collaborators, including The US Office star Jenna Fischer, who played a version of Davis’ character Dawn (renamed Pam) in the American version. In a new post, shared today (August 14), Davis took time to appreciate the reaction her diagnosis had received. “Ok, so the last two days have been utterly overwhelming, in that I had ZERO idea my cancer post would have the attention it did,” she said. “Truly, I am in shock.” “That said….
