The Simpsons star Nancy Cartwright has given her thoughts on when she thinks the show will end. The actress who has voiced Bart Simpson alongside various other roles on the animated comedy since its inception, was asked when the animated show will finally finish on Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside Of You podcast Cartwright responded: “40 [seasons].” “You think it’ll stop at 40?” Rosenbaum asked. “Yeah,” Cartwright confirmed. “You’re sure?” he asked again. “It’s my opinion,” she said. The Simpsons recently wrapped its 37th season and will soon return for its 38th next month. The show has a contract for up to 40 seasons with the final series due to air in 2029. Despite that, Cartwright said that she isn’t looking to retire from the show and if it did continue beyond 40 seasons, she confirmed she’d be onboard. “Would you go as long as they wanted to keep going?” Rosenbaum asked.
