Tom Petty’s Origins Explored in New 1970s-Era Box Set

A new Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers box set, Origins 1971-1978, is on the way to mark the band’s 50th birthday. Out November 6 via UMe, the 5xLP collection comprehensively documents the incubation and early years of the band around its formation in 1976. One of the discs, No Sleep Til L.A., which compiles rarities spanning from Petty’s Mudcrutch years to the dawn of the Heartbreakers, is also getting a standalone release.
