Tomorrowland’s 2025 theme is Orbyz, which brings attention to global warming through depictions of an indigenous community living underneath an icecap.

Every year, Tomorrowland‘s organizers choose new visual and story elements to distinguish that edition of the festival. Next year is no exception. The Boom, Belgium festival slated to take place over two weekends from July 18-20 and 25-27, 2025 will adopt a brand new theme that by the name of Orbyz.

In the theme’s accompanying storyline, an indigenous civilization lives under a glacier in a universe entirely composed of ice. As the glacier melts, these inhabitants must rise to the surface. Once there, they encounter red crystals and rocks that emit a powerful form of light.

As with recent Tomorrowland themes such as last year’s Spirit of Life, a novel released ahead of the event will give attendees and others the chance to get more familiar with the story elements of the theme. The festival’s decor will also take cues from it, creating a setting “full of ice and mythical creatures,” according to a press release.

Tomorrowland, which first took place in 2005 with attendance of 10,000, expects 400,000 EDM fans from more than 200 countries to arrive for its 19th edition. Hundreds of artists will perform across 16 stages over both weekends of the gathering.

Over the past 20 years, Tomorrowland has also grown to include events in other countries. Among the most notable today are Tomorrowland Brasil, Tomorrowland Winter in the French alps, and the melodic techno-focused Core Medellin in Colombia.

Pre-registration for Tomorrowland 2025 tickets opens on December 5. Find more information on the Tomorrowland website.
