The latest blockbuster Fortnite collaboration has been revealed, with Toy Story heading to the hit battle royale game.
The Toy Story x Fortnite collaboration was officially announced yesterday (April 8) via a short teaser video.
The clip sees Buzz Lightyear driving a customised Pizza Planet delivery car and confirms that two bundles (Buzz Lightyear and Emperor Zurg) will be available from tomorrow (April 10). Each one will give players access to a unique emote, as well as special back blings, pickaxe weapons and skins.
Tomorrow will also see the cutesy three-eyed alien added as a sidekick while Fortnite players will be able to get their own Pizza Planet delivery car as part of the crossover.
When the Toy Story collaboration was first leaked back in March, it was reported that Woody would also be heading to Fortnite alongside Buzz and Zurg. However, Epic Games have yet to reveal anything about the plucky cowboy coming to the game, much to the disappointment of some fans. “How do you do Toy Story without Woody,” asked one Reddit user.
Others are speculating that Woody, Jesse and Bo Peep might be included in a second wave that’ll come closer to the release of Toy Story 5, which hits cinemas July 19, 2026.
Last month, Fortnite owners Epic Games scrapped three games and laid off more than 1000 members of staff “to keep the company funded”.
“The downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we’re spending significantly more than we’re making, and we have to make major cuts,” continued a statement. The cuts come after the price of in-game currency V-bucks went up earlier this year “to help pay the bills”.
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran has been praised after he revealed he turned down a Fortnite collaboration because he isn’t a fan of the battle royale game.
In other news, rapper Freddie Gibbs is the latest musician rumoured to be involved in Grand Theft Auto 6.
