His proposal to limit the amount has drawn fierce criticism from the public. Trump took to his Truth Social media platform to bemoan how many federal holidays American citizens have, claiming they’re adding to the country’s unstable economy and that workers don’t want them as well. His comments were posted two days after another press event in the Oval Office with several members of his cabinet.
