"Marina" is the band's first new music since their 2025 singles "Gallowine" and "Next To Die", which follow their debut EP Twice Around The Sun. The track — which the band first started incorporating during their live set in 2024 — is the latest preview of UGLY's yet-to-be-announced debut album, which has been developed over the past few years, recorded in Wales and completed in London with producer Balazs Altsach. Speaking about "Marina", singer Jasmine Miller-Sauchella explains: “During our second Blue Barn session, I was listening to Surfer Rosa by Pixies a lot, and I think it was ‘Gigantic’ specifically that switched on something in my head that there needed to be an element of grit, raw power and sexual energy to 'Marina'. So one day, while we were starting to think about some lyrics, all I could think of was someone desperately wanting to feel and see a big appendage. Almost begging for it. And every time we sing those lines, I can’t help but smile — and also feel a bit like Kim Deal.” UGLY are also set to bring the new songs to the stage with a run of UK shows through October and November, kicking off in Leeds on 24 October with further stops in Southampton, Brighton, Nottin...
