Formed by longtime friends Ariana Mamnoon, Jack Dione, Jay Are and Nicholas Noneman, untitled (halo) came together out of feeling a "lack of a scene or music in LA", finding each other after years circulating the city's DIY scene. As they prepare to present their first-ever collection of songs, they unveil "aimee lou wood freestye", a track that evolved from the first demo that the band wrote for the album. untitled (halo) was written over a year in the band's Glassell Park studio. The album focuses on the act of construction: how memories are edited, identities are formed and personal mythology is built from the pieces left behind — reflecting periods in which the band were navigating heartbreak, relationship turmoil, and existential grief. The band have described the emotional tone behind their sound using the term "California Melancholia". "The music we make is a cry that becomes a screenshot, or a captured memory that we existed and felt real in the process of making it," they share.
