Dynamic DJ and lifelong Lakers fan Valentino Khan redesigned the sound of the team’s organ at Crypto.com Arena, which will be heard at every home game.
While electronic music and professional sports might seem like an unlikely pairing for some, the two have a shared legacy that dates back decades. Tunes like “Sandstorm,” “Kernkraft 400,” “Turbulence,” and more have long been stadium anthems to help hype up fans at games. More recently, DJs and producers have had a more prominent role, with DJ Snake and Kaskade performing at editions of the Super Bowl. Now, Valentino Khan revealed he’s the latest artist to find his way into the sports realm after teaming up with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Valentino Khan has displayed his love for the Los Angeles Lakers for years by taking the stage at festivals and nightclubs, but his recent adventure has led to him working more directly with the team than ever before. Today, the beloved DJ and producer revealed that he received the honor of redesigning the sound of the Lakers organ that will be heard at every home game to keep the crowd amped up and clapping along with it.
Valentino Khan shared some clips showing him testing the organ sounds and playing the organ on a launchpad while the Lakers were practicing. Additional clips from the Lakers’ recent game against the Minnesota Timberwolves are paired with them for some in-game action. Check it out below, and make sure to listen closely if you’re attending a game this season!
