Green Day played a surprise live set at the afterparty for the Nimrods premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (August 12). Watch footage and see the setlist below. The pop-punk trio took to the stage at the American Legion Post 43 in Hollywood, following the first screening of their new coming-of-age comedy film, written and directed by Lee Kirk. Per Setlist.FM, Billie Joe Armstrong and co. performed 16 songs as a trio without their usual touring members. The special slot kicked off with ‘Going To Pasalacqua’ from their 1990 debut album ’39/Smooth’. The band went on to dust off ‘Only Of You’ from their first EP, 1989’s ‘1,000 Hours’ – marking the track’s first live outing since 2017. Various other old rarities followed, including ‘Paper Lanterns’, ‘2000 Light Years Away’ and ‘Brat’, as well as the ‘Nimrod’ cuts ‘Scattered’ and ‘Nice Guys Finish Last’. The group also treated the crowd to 2000 single ‘Minority’, their debut single ‘Longview’ and more.
