Watch McKenna Esteb live in session at Treefort Music Fest

1 week ago 20

A fixture at Treefort - this was her sixth year playing the festival – Esteb launched her solo project in 2019 and has toured throughout the Northwest and abroad, opening for artists the likes of Thee Sacred Souls, Baby Jake, Krooked Kings, and Sixpence Non the Richer. For her Best Fit session, we met McKenna in the famous, award-winning women's restroom at the Shrine Social Club – one of our favourite music venues in the world – for a neat take of “My Heart”, one of the first songs Esteb wrote following a breakup in 2020, which she calls a “good riddance tune”. "I love revisiting this one,” she explains. “It's still fun to sing, rings true and it's fun to play it in a new way every time we revisit it.” Up next for Esteb is a string of full-band shows later this month in Salt Lake City (12 August), Portland (21 August), Seattle (22 August) and Stoke the Flow Festival in Idaho (29 August).
