Richard Hawley joined Reverend And The Makers on stage at Tramlines Festival for ‘Silence Is Talking’ – check out footage below. Hawley made a surprise appearance during the Sheffield band’s performance on the Sarah Nulty Main Stage at Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park on Sunday (July 26). During the performance, frontman McClure gave an emotional tribute to his family, telling the crowd: “My name is Jon McClure. The son of the late John McClure Snr., who used to always come to Tramlines, we used to stand down there.” He also pointed to the side of the stage where his mother and brother were stood, and stormed through the likes of ‘Heavyweight Champion of The World’, ‘Haircut’ and ‘Heatwave in the Cold North’, before he wrapped up the set with a Hawley-assisted ‘Silence Is Talking’ – which you can check out below. Taking to Instagram after the festival slot, McClure wrote: “What a special moment. All the family together l. Thankyou to everyone saying nice things in the comments and mentions. We see them.” He also gave a shoutout to his “Sheffield brothers” Hawley and K Dot for jumping onstage for the set.
